How we treat each other
Circle guidelines
A small group only works if the room feels safe enough to be a person. These are the rules. They’re short because we mean them.
01
This is not a dating app
Come as a person looking for people — friends, activity partners, a regular crew. If two people later date, that’s their life. Pitching the table is not.
02
Show up if you said you would
A circle of seven becomes awkward when three flake. If you can’t make it, tell us early so we can fill the seat.
03
Leave room for the quiet one
The person who talks less is still why the table exists. Ask a question. Don’t hold court.
04
Phones down when it matters
Photos of the mural are fine. Scrolling while someone is talking is not why anyone left the house.
05
No selling the table
No MLMs, no crypto decks, no “quick thing about my startup.” You’re here to be a person.
06
Kindness is the bar
We will remove anyone who makes a circle feel unsafe, small, or like a punchline. No debate.
If a circle goes sideways, write hello@circya.com. We’ll take it seriously.
